Blessed Carlo was the first OCSB group to participate in Dell Technologies, Microsoft, and Intel’s Girls Who Game program, a North American initiative to increase STEM education opportunities for female students in grades 4 – 6 through fun learning experiences. This program empowers young girls to learn from one another and build confidence in a secure and positive space. The program offers learner-driven experiences to prepare them for success in the digital world. The extracurricular gaming program allows female students to learn through play, focusing on building global competencies, computational thinking, and exploring UN sustainable development goals using Minecraft: Education Edition. We are very proud of our girls for winning the Communication award for designing a factory to recycle crayons into reusable items. Additionally, one of the students was chosen to speak at the year-end closing ceremonies!
